Lere Olayinka, Special Adviser on Media to former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reacted following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) official recognition of Chief Ralph Nwosu as the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Julius Abure as the Chairman of the Labour Party (LP).

Olayinka made the disclosure on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, where he shared INEC’s latest update on the leadership status of both parties. The move comes after months of internal wrangling and legal tussles that have caused confusion within both political platforms.

Reacting, he said; ADC and Labour Party EXCO as recognized by INEC as at today.

According to INEC’s official release, Chief Ralph Nwosu remains the National Chairman of the ADC, a position he has held for years amidst criticisms and factional disputes. Similarly, Julius Abure was reaffirmed as the duly recognized National Chairman of the Labour Party, based on recent court rulings that cleared up the legitimacy of his leadership.

INEC also named Alhaji Said Baba Abdullahi as the ADC’s National Secretary, while Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim was recognized as the Labour Party’s National Secretary.
