Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has slammed opposition politicians criticising President Bola Tinubu over his policies.

Naija News reports that Eno, during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, challenged those criticising Tinubu to present their scorecards while in government.

The Governor, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasised that those fit to condemn Tinubu are brand new people who have never been in government.

According to Eno, some people will continue to criticise even if an angel were to oversee the affairs of Nigeria.

He said: “Even if you bring an angel to superintend over Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State, there are people who will say this angel is a devil or one Lucifer.

“So they would always be people who don’t believe in the things you are doing, it’s all political. Most of these people have been in government before and my question is what impact did they make?

“If people have to condemn the president, it should be brand new people, somebody who has had a stint in government in this country should first show us his report card.

“You have been in government and didn’t do anything while part of the people that contributed to bringing this country to where we are today.

“We talk about subsidies, who are the people benefitting from this subsidy as a matter of fact? The past EFCC Chairman published a book on subsidy scam, go and read the book.”
