Popular Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has stated that she remains interested in getting married.
Naija News reports that Savage married her former manager, Tunji Balogun, also known as Teebillz, in 2013, but they divorced in 2018 after attempts to resolve their differences proved unsuccessful.
Their marriage produced a son called Jamil.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview that has been making the rounds on social media, the mother of one stated that she is looking forward to remarrying.
Savage, however, stated that she is finding it difficult to find a partner due to her standards.
Savage said that her ideal husband is a young and rich man with no baby mama issues.
According to her, “I’m still looking for someone’s son. I don’t have any [partner]. And I think it is because I’m asking for specific things. Maybe I need to narrow my spec down.
“I’m actually looking for someone who has a private plane, young; someone who doesn’t have baby mama drama because I can’t deal with that.”
Meanwhile, Savage has recalled how she survived her leaked sex tape, which made headlines about four years ago.
Naija News reports that social media went agog after Tiwa Savage’s sextape was released online in October 2021, after raising an alarm that she was being blackmailed over a sex tape of herself and her partner.
In an interview with British media personality, Zeze Mills, which was posted on YouTube, the singer described the loss of her father and leaked sextape as the darkest moment in her career.
The ‘Ma Lo’ crooner stated that the only way she could have survived the leaked tape controversy was not to think or talk about it.
She said, “My dad died, and my sex tape was released. The only way I could have survived was not to think about it.”
Speaking further, Tiwa Savage said that featuring in the interview session meant a great deal to her, especially after dealing with various personal issues over the years.
She added, “Being here on the couch with you is such a blessing. Just the fact that you even want to talk to me, people want to hear what I want to say after how many years. It feels good. I’ve gone through so much, but have I really enjoyed the moment?”
