The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described its performance in last Saturday’s legislative by-elections across twelve states as a solid endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
The ruling party, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Sunday, expressed gratitude to Nigerians for what it called a decisive show of support, which ensured sweeping victories for its candidates.
Morka said the outcome of the polls reflected growing confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and reforms aimed at transforming the economy and other critical sectors.
“This win is yet another solid endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda designed to deliver, and now steadily delivering, transformation of our country’s economy and other sectors of our national life,” he said.
The party congratulated its victorious candidates and urged them to deliver on their mandate by pursuing legislative interventions that would bring tangible benefits to their constituents.
The APC also applauded its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, describing the victory as his first major electoral milestone since assuming office.
“It is a strong pointer to greater things to come,” the statement added.
The party further commended Progressive Governors, party leaders, and supporters for their sacrificial efforts in mobilising support, while acknowledging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for successfully conducting the polls.
“We also salute all security agencies for maintaining peace and order, despite cases of election violence and voters’ suppression in some districts,” Morka stated.
Reaffirming its gratitude to Nigerians, the APC urged citizens to sustain their support for the party and the President as he works to deliver prosperity.
“Our deepest gratitude remains with the Nigerian electorate and we urge all Nigerians to sustain their support for our great Party and Mr President as he continues to pave a clear and steady path of prosperity for this and future generations,” the statement concluded.
