Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim, popularly known as Sultana, has opened up about her personal journey with religion.
Naija News reports that Sultana, who is 25 years old and works as a plus-size model, said she was raised in a home where both religions were present.
She explained that her father is a Muslim from Adamawa State and her mother a Christian from Yala in Cross River State.
The reality TV star said her childhood involved attending both church and mosque services.
She spoke during a conversation with fellow housemate Zita on Wednesday night.
Sultana revealed that although she once practiced Christianity and was even baptised in the Catholic Church under the name Josephine, she later made the decision to follow Islam.
She said that her choice was based on what felt more suitable for her personally.
She said: “No, I grew up going to both church and mosque, my mom is a Christian. At some point I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”
In other news, Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Dede, has revealed that she deals with social anxiety, which has made it difficult for her to bond with other contestants in the house.
Naija News reports that her behaviour has drawn attention from fellow housemates and viewers, especially after Kulture, another contestant, described her as someone who keeps to herself and acts unusually around others.
His comment came during a diary session where he expressed concern about her distant nature.
